Important Notice

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please read this page carefully before proceeding.

How to Request Account Deletion

Follow these steps to request deletion of your Cheetee Paata account

Send a Deletion Request Email
Send an email to our support team with the subject line: “Account Deletion Request”

Include Required Information
In your email, please provide the following details:
- Your registered email address or phone number used in the app
- Your full name (as registered in the app)
- Confirmation that you want to permanently delete your account
- Optional: Reason for deletion (helps us improve our service)

Verification Process
We will verify your identity and send you a confirmation email within 48 hours. You may be asked to confirm your request one more time for security purposes.

Account Deletion Completed
Once verified, your account and associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days, and you will receive a final confirmation email.

Data That Will Be Deleted

The following data will be permanently removed from our systems

Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number, and profile details
Chit Fund Data: All chit groups you created or participated in, transaction records, and payment history
User-Generated Content: Notes, comments, and any customizations you made within the app
Device Information: Device IDs, app usage analytics, and crash reports associated with your account
Authentication Data: Login credentials and session tokens

Data That May Be Retained

Certain data may be kept for legal, security, or operational purposes

Legal Compliance: Financial transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax and financial regulations
Security Logs: Anonymized security and fraud prevention logs may be retained for 90 days to protect our systems
Aggregated Analytics: De-identified, aggregated usage statistics that cannot be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely
Backup Systems: Data in backup systems will be purged within 90 days following the standard backup rotation cycle

Before You Delete Your Account

•Make sure to settle all pending chit fund contributions and claims before deletion
•Download or export any data you wish to keep (transaction history, reports, etc.)
•Inform other members in your chit groups if you are an organizer or active participant
•Cancel any recurring reminders or notifications you have set up
•Account deletion cannot be reversed once the process is completed
